I hope everyone had a nice week, time for an update! I flipped the layout of this around to arrange everything in order of importance.
Production Updates
-The Titanium EverRatchet frames are in production but due to the slow cutting speed and 3,300 titanium frames that need to be cut, we are getting very tight on the timeline (ship by Sept 6th, see “Timeline” near the bottom of campaign page). The vendor and I are working together very closely so we can stick to the campaign timeline. As of now, we are on track but I did want to mention this to you guys since the 1.2 week buffer that I built into the timeline is getting eaten up. This is in part to the slower than expected cutting speed of the machine for the titanium parts as well as the sheer number of units ordered. We have shipped all of our previously successfully crowdfunded projects (3 campaigns) on time so you know I will be working my butt off to do the same for this one. I will provide an update mid to late next week with a status update after the vendor gets more production time in on the titanium frames.
-All the Stainless Steel EverRatchet frames are on their way to us! They are currently in Tennessee and we will be getting them early next week. We paid for a partial shipment for the stainless frames so we can tumble, add laser graphics and assemble prior to the titanium units arriving. To Note: We will be waiting for the titanium units to be completed prior to shipping any units….part to the fact that a lot of orders have a combination of stainless and titanium and also to make sure that everyone gets their orders at the same time to keep things fair.
-The Orbital Grey titanium rings (add-on option) have arrived back from the finisher. They look super stealthy, very happy with how they turned out. There are still a few left up for grabs which can be added to your order via the BackerKit survey.
-The Fire Flints arrived earlier this week, they look great. They fit nicely in the clamshell packaging cavity and we just finished individually bagging the 1500 flints that were selected as add-ons. If you ordered the 3x pack you will get three individually packed fire flints inside of a larger bag so you can separate them into your backpack, glovebox, first aid kit etc. I have gotten some messages on this, yes, these flints will be available after the campaign. If you want to order yours later or get more, they will be under the name Flint2Go at GearInfusion.com after the Indiegogo orders are shipped out.
-The Clamshell Packaging is being produced right now and will be shipped out by next week.
-The die cut Insert Cards for the clamshells are showing up early next week.
BackerKit Survey
-We are at 90% of surveys completed, sorry to keep bringing this up but your survey needs to be completed so we can ship your order. If you have not completed your survey please find the email from BackerKit and do so, it helps us finalize counts for all the items.
-Have not received a BackerKit Email? If you just backed EverRatchet, it takes 10 days for the BackerKit survey to be sent out, this has to do with the integration between Indiegogo and BackerKit. If it has been more than 10 days, reach out to me and I will get your link over to you.
-We will be “locking down” completed surveys next Friday 8/31. You will still be able to update your shipping address but you will not be able to make any further modifications to the items on your orders. This “lock down” helps us finalize the numbers on our end.

BackerKit Surveys
You guys are awesome. So far 76% of all the BackerKit surveys have been completed, I know that is a solid C rating but as far as surveys go, that is very good since only 3 days have passed by. If you have not filled out your survey yet, please do so, it helps me finalize numbers for components on my end ?
Have not received your survey from BackerKit? Two potential reasons why:
- BackerKit sends the survey email 10 days after you place your order.
- It may be in your spam folder, we have had this happen to one backer so far.
If 10 days have passed and you have checked your spam folder, please reach out to me via Indiegogo messages or [email protected] and I will help you out!
I Love Goooooold – Limited EverRatchets are All Gone!
Our limited gold-colored titanium EverRatchets have all be claimed! They are on their way back from the middle of the US and I am prepping to have their graphics lasered on them next week.
Production Updates
- A small batch of titanium EverRatchets were sent out to get their gold coatings early this week, they are on their way back now. I plan on lasering the graphics on them this week.
- All packaging materials for domestic orders are now in-house, this includes shipping boxes, tape, shipping label stock, etc. We have been folding boxes like crazy and finally are caught up to current order numbers!
- Had a call with our international shipping service yesterday and all looks good there too!
- All #2 Phillips bits, titanium rings, insert cards, storage bands and poly bags have arrived. The Orbital Grey titanium ring add-ons need to be sent out to get their dark matte coating but I am waiting on more of the surveys to be completed prior to doing this.
- The fire flint mold will be completed early next week and we should have parts shortly after.
- The clamshell packaging which holds EverRatchet and the fire flint/spare bands is moving along. You saw the prototype packaging during the BackerKit survey (in the “additional EverRatchet” section), we are awaiting the production quantities now.
- We are on the schedule for our large batch of EverRatchets and production is to begin next week.

I hope all has been well with everyone, wanted to do an update on some key items:
BackerKit Surveys
We will be sending these out tomorrow between 3PM EST and 4PM EST! Everyone will need to fill this survey out as it collects information that the team needs to ship your order. We will have additional EverRatchet units (@ 40%) and some other goodies which you can add to your order during the survey. Please keep an eye out for this BackerKit survey tomorrow.
Limited Edition EverRatchet (Only 100 Units)
We will be offering limited edition EverRatchets which will be available to add-on to your order during the BackerKit survey. They are coated with a technique called PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) which gives them the gold appearance but with the mechanical properties of titanium.
If you would like to get your hands on one of these fancy EverRatchets, watch out for the BackerKit survey tomorrow between 3PM EST AND 4PM EST!
Production Updates
I am glad that this section can be short. All components are on order and are humming along on schedule still, we are still looking good on our timeline!

Top News First
We are on track with our shipping schedule and do not have any production delays at this time! I owe you the BackerKit survey (which does not delay the production timeline) but am waiting on a small quantity of EverRatchets to show up so I can laser/take pictures of winning graphics to give you a clear idea of what they are going to look like.
Artwork Graphics Winners
The results for the survey are now in and we are going to be doing THREE graphics instead of the original TWO since the results were sooo close. The winners are:
- #1 - Hive
- #2 - Turbulence
- #3 - Stars
You will be able to select these graphics for each of your individual EverRatchets during the BackerKit survey (not yet sent out). The original graphics shown in most of the campaign images will still be an option ?
NEW: Limited Edition EverRatchet (<100 Units)
We will be offering limited edition EverRatchets during the BackerKit survey which has not been sent out yet. Next Large Milestones
Receive funds from Indiegogo - We just received the notification the funds from the campaign are on their way. Once this clears and appears in our account we will move forward with the production.
Surveys Sent Out - We are waiting on a small quantity of EverRatchets to show up so I can laser/take pictures of winning graphics to give you a clear idea of what they are going to look like.

EverRatchet has moved from 'Funding' to 'InDemand' status which means that since there is such a high demand for this project, we will allow backers continue to pledge. We are sticking to our production timeline and will be ordering additional EverRatchets to cover pledges placed in the 'InDemand' status. Pre-Production Updates
-Supporting components for EverRatchet and shipping continue to show up, everything is on track and looking great.
-Box folding has commenced: after one session we are 300 boxes in, it has become a new hobby for myself and my wife Danielle, yay!
-EverRatchet is now in the InDemand funding period. You may still pledge for EverRatchet, however, we will ship out pledges from the first 30 day funding period first then will follow up with pledges post-June 6th immediately after.
