Shipping Updates
Good news all around, we had an extremely productive weekend with EverRatchet!
-1900x domestic and international orders have been shipped out already
-Just over 1200x domestic and international orders were packed up this weekend
-800x Domestic Orders are being dropped off at USPS this morning
-600x International Orders are being dropped off at our fulfillment partner in NYC on Wednesday
Above: We got layers and layers of titanium EverRatchet frames back from the finisher Thursday morning. I spent all of Thursday into Friday evening adding the functional markings and graphics with the laser.
Above: After full-day assembly/packing parties on Friday, Saturday and Monday we had boxes and boxes of packaged EverRatchets all over our house. Thank you very much to my family and friends who helped with this, I could not have done this without you!

When the BackerKit survey went out we had 100x gold colored titanium EverRatchets available as Add-Ons which sold out in a matter of minutes. There are 5x remaining units that we will be given away for free on me (including shipping)!
How to Win One (1x) of Five (5x) Gold EverRatchets
1) Once you get your EverRatchet in hand, take a picture and post on your favorite social media channel.
2) Be sure to tag us @GearInfusion and #EverRatchet so we can add you to the giveaway!
3) Three (3x) winners will be selected based on our favorite photos which will be based on creativity and functionality of the tool in the post and Two (2x) winners will be chosen using a random number generator (each post will be assigned an ID number to be put into the generator).

Flint2Go Suggested Use (copied from last update)
Below are our suggested steps for using your Flint2Go camping flints (thanks @Gary for bringing this up). If you are not familiar with flints and how they operate, these steps should help get you going. Most certainly make sure you are in a safe/appropriate location prior to using.
1) Pile dry kindling in a wind-free location
2) Remove the black exterior coating by scraping it with a metal object
3) Scrape the bare flint to add a small pile of shavings to the kindling
4) Place the flint on a hard surface near the flint shavings/kindling
5) Apply pressure to the top of the flint with a sharp metal object and
strike in the direction of the flint shavings/kindling
6) Once an ember is visible, lightly blow air on the kindling until lit
7) Continue to add kindling to retain fire

Shipping Update
We just got all the frames needed to fulfill ALL OPEN ORDERS!!! After inspection and audit on the dimensions, I dropped them off at our tumbling facility this morning. I am looking at getting them back late this week so we can have an assembly/packing party this weekend. Early the following week (starting Monday 10/8), we will have out domestic ship out days with international orders being dropped off at our NYC fulfillment center Wed/Thursday of the same week,

You can check the status of your order at any time by logging into your BackerKit account and checking the status of your order. In addition to the orders that have already shipped, I just dropped off just over 500x domestic orders at the post office this morning and took just shy of 600x international titanium and stainless orders to our international shipping service in NYC (tracking on these may be slightly delayed since they were just dropped off but keep checking).

I am going to keep this one short, I have a full day of lasering and a household full of family ready to help assemble the first round of Titanium EverRatchets.

I see that some Stainless Steel EverRatchet orders started arriving yesterday, thanks for the pictures and kind notes guys, much appreciated!
-On 9/19 (Wed), we shipped out all the Domestic orders with completed BackerKit surveys that did not require a Titanium EverRatchet either in the pledge or as an Add-On item. We will continue to ship these out as individuals complete their surveys.
-On 9/19 (Wed), I drove the International orders that did not require a Titanium EverRatchet either in the pledge or as an Add-On item with completed BackerKit surveys to the third party shipping company. These are to be on the schedule to be shipped out early next week.
-We received in, got tumbled and received back our first batch of 2000x Titanium frames yesterday. I spent the remainder of the day yesterday in our laser room lasering away to build up stock for the assembly party which will start in the next hour and will continue over the weekend at our house.
-The next batch of 1200x Titanium frames shipped yesterday and we are looking for them to arrive by Monday morning. They need to be taken to the tumbler to get there finish but we are looking to get them back from the tumbler right as the orders for the first 2000x Titanium frames are running out.
A Note on Our Clamshell Packaging - I tried to save material on the plastic clamshell but as a result of the thinner material my designed snaps and the initial idea of heat sealing the plastic clamshells shut was a bust. The product is still shipping in the clamshell since I figured that you guys care more about the tool than the packaging. Also, immediately after receiving the gigantic boxes of plastic clamshells I reached out to a company out west to start work on a plastic saving design with uses more cardboard and much less plastic. Orders placed now will be in the plastic clamshells (pictured in the Add-On images for the tools in BackerKit) but in the future, they will be shipping in more eco-friendly, still visually appealing cardboard/plastic packaging. Please keep in mind that all of our packagings for all our products are recyclable so please do your part and recycle, thanks!

Messages and comments are great, HOWEVER, please try not to message me asking when your order is going to ship. I am a one-man show monitoring the campaign and will be spending most of my time away from the computer working on your orders. I have set up assembly and packing parties with friends/family to ensure that the units get out the door quickly after we get them lasered, assembled and packed. We got you covered! You will get an email from BackerKit notifying you that your order has shipped, and you can check the status of your order anytime by logging back into your BackerKit account and checking the status of your order. I will try to provide high-level updates that will let you know where your order is especially with the titanium units coming in as two separate shipments. Thanks!

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! Let’s get right into it, we are going to start shipping next week! We are going to try to keep a constant flow of product headed out the door until everyone gets their orders.
-All the stainless steel units are being finished up right now and I will have pictures of the final lasered units for the update next week (pictures of unfinished frames below)!
-The first batch of 2000x titanium frames are arriving next week. They need to go to the tumbler to get their finish then I need to laser them before being assembled and packed up.
-The remaining titanium frames are being worked on right now and I should get more detail on their arrival time later this week.
What is shipping?
We are going to be sending out all the stainless steel orders that do not require a titanium EverRatchet. This includes orders with add-ons (as long as they do not require a titanium EverRatchet).
International Orders: I have discussed this with the shipping company we are using and they agreed to allow us to ship out in two batches instead of one. The units will be dropped off at the fulfillment center late next week and will ship out a few days after that. I will get an exact date once the parts are dropped off and checked in.

Prices are a Changing
The discount on EverRatchet will be decreasing from 40% down to 20% tomorrow evening, 8:00PM EST so if anyone you know who was/is interested in EverRatchet, tell them to get a move on it before the price changes!

Update Time!!!
-We received a small batch of titanium parts, have a large batch incoming but are still waiting on another large batch which is currently still in production. This being said, unfortunately, we will not be hitting our originally planned Sept 6th ship date. This hits me hard since I really put pride in myself that I delivered my previous campaigns on time. I can’t make any excuses, but I want to make a justification for the delay since I believe I owe it to you: EverRatchet got way more backers than we were expecting, the timeline was based on being funded from a 1x to 8x of our funding goal, much less than the 35x that the project is at now. Even with the extra orders, I thought we could make it with our 1.5 buffer but cutting the frames is taking a bit longer than originally anticipated. We are not going to be months delayed like most campaigns but I will need some additional time to get all the units in. As always, I will keep in touch and stay transparent, I am looking to get final dates after the long holiday weekend.
- The Stainless Steel and Titanium frames that we have received are absolutely perfect, I am extremely pleased with them
-We received the second and final batch of stainless steel frames, they will be going to the tumbler early next week to get their finish.
-The Clamshell Packaging is on its way, waiting for a tracking number but it should arrive in a few days
-The Flint2Go flint instruction cards arrived today, they will be shipped out with the 1x and 3x packs of flints and give them a little more packaging than just some black cylinders in a bag.
-The die cut Insert Cards for the clamshells have arrived. They look fantastic, really happy with how they turned out.
-Our office and spare rooms are full of items waiting patiently to be shipped out, getting super close here everyone!
Lock Down on BackerKit Surveys
-If you have finished your BackerKit survey, I went ahead and locked down last night. Having the surveys in this locked status gets me a clear picture of quantities, mainly with regards to the laser graphics.
-If you recently backed EverRatchet, it can take 10 days for the BackerKit survey to show up, its on its way, don’t worry!
-If you added any add-on items from the BackerKit survey and if you watch your credit card statements closely you may have seen that your credit card was charged from a "Pry Me Bottle Opener" last night.
Please note that although this is confusing, this charge is for the Add-On items (extra EverRatchets, flints, keyrings, etc) that you added during the EverRatchet BackerKit Survey. I performed the "lock down" on the credit cards as I said I was going to during the last update but never updated the "tag" that shows up on credit card statements to EverRatchet or our company name, Gear Infusion. This is why you will see "Pry Me Bottle Opener" which was our previous company name (before we expanded our product line) on your statements.
Sorry for the confusion this has brought, there is no further input needed on your end. I just wanted to let you know as I can see how this would be quite confusing.
